At MakeMyChardham, we understand that travel plans can change. This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions for canceling your Chardham Yatra booking and the applicable charges.
1. Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges apply as follows:

2. Special Cases
2.1 Hotel Bookings
- Hotel cancellation policies may vary and could be stricter than our general policy
- Some hotels may charge 100% cancellation fee for bookings canceled less than 7 days before check-in
- Peak season bookings (May-June, September-October) may have higher cancellation charges
- Non-refundable hotel bookings cannot be canceled or modified
2.2 Transport Bookings
- Vehicle bookings canceled less than 7 days before travel may incur 50-100% cancellation charges
- Helicopter tickets (if booked) are generally non-refundable
- Train/flight tickets follow the cancellation policy of the respective service provider
2.3 Partial Cancellation
- If one or more travelers cancel from a group booking, cancellation charges apply only to the canceled travelers
- Package price may be recalculated for the remaining travelers if group discounts were applied
- Room sharing arrangements may need to be adjusted
3. Refund Process
3.1 Refund Timeline
- Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 15-30 business days from the date of cancellation confirmation
- Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for booking
- Bank transfer refunds may take additional 3-5 business days to reflect in your account
3.2 Refund Method
- Refunds will be made to the same account/method from which payment was received
- For cash payments, refunds will be processed via bank transfer (account details required)
- Processing fees charged by payment gateways are non-refundable
4. No-Show Policy
- If travelers do not show up on the travel date without prior cancellation, no refund will be provided
- All services booked will be considered utilized and charges will apply
- We will attempt to contact you before considering it a no-show
5. Date Changes and Modifications
5.1 Date Changes
- Date changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges
- Changes requested more than 15 days before travel: ₹500 per booking (administrative fee)
- Changes requested 7-15 days before travel: ₹1,000 per booking + any difference in package price
- Changes requested less than 7 days before travel: Treated as cancellation and rebooking (full cancellation charges apply)
5.2 Package Modifications
- Upgrading or downgrading packages may result in price adjustments
- Adding extra services may incur additional charges
- Removing services may not result in a refund if already booked
6. Force Majeure and Special Circumstances
6.1 Natural Disasters and Unforeseen Events
- In case of natural disasters, landslides, roadblocks, or government restrictions that prevent travel, we will:
- Attempt to reschedule your trip to alternative dates (subject to availability)
- Provide credit for future travel (valid for 12 months)
- Partial refund may be provided after deducting non-refundable expenses (hotels, transport already booked)
- No refund for services already utilized or expenses already incurred
6.2 Medical Emergencies
- Medical emergencies with valid documentation may be considered for special refund arrangements
- Medical certificate from a registered doctor must be provided
- Refund amount will be decided on a case-by-case basis
- Non-refundable expenses will still be deducted
7. Non-Refundable Services
The following services are typically non-refundable once booked:
- Helicopter tickets for Kedarnath/Yamunotri
- Train/flight tickets (subject to service provider's policy)
- Non-refundable hotel bookings
- Permits and entry fees already paid
- Services already utilized

9. Disputes and Grievances
If you have any concerns regarding cancellation charges or refund processing, please contact us immediately. We will review your case and make every effort to resolve the matter fairly. All disputes will be handled in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
